Louise Gillard paints the commons, parks, streets and bridges of London. She paints mostly plein air directly from the subject but sometimes takes small studies back into the studio to create larger works. She usually paints with oils or soft pastels but also uses acrylics, gouache and watercolour. Louise has exhibited at the Mall Galleries with the Pastel Society and Art for Youth, plus several Chelsea Art Society Exhibitions. She reached the semifinal of Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year 2021. Louise is the founder of Art Hub Battersea and can often be seen painting out on Clapham and Wandsworth Commons, and along the Thames, whatever the weather.
