A trained graphic designer, Kate has always wanted to translate her two-dimensional ideas into three dimensions. Clay has given her the perfect medium with which to express herself. Since 2016 Kate has evolved a style inspired by Japanese simplicity and appreciation of the hand made, that she enjoys using and looking at. She combines this with textures and patterns derived from what she sees around her, with every pattern hand carved making each one unique. She very much loves the combination of the carving with the calming neutral colour palette. Kate enjoys making small collections or one-of-a kind pieces that aim to bring joy from my studio in London. Her work is regularly seen in a few galleries.
