My art is inspired by the act of walking through, observing and responding to the environment I am in. ‘Cartier Bresson’ summed it up eloquently in ‘the decisive moment’ , that creative moment when you intuitively decide to capture an image. This, for me, is one that either stands alone as a photograph in its own right or that can inform a painting, etching or drawing.
Light, colour and an expressive mood pervade my artwork. I strive to bring to people what they have seen, at times subconsciously, and what they have not seen. When asked ”how many hours do you give to your artwork?”, i responded by sayi ng that “I am always working…constantly looking for inspiration”.
