Presently, Maryse is engaged in painting mostly still life imagery. She uses oils (water mixable) and acrylics on canvas and board, and she also enjoys painting directly on the interior walls of her home.
Maryse’s inspiration has come from many sources including the simplicity of everyday objects. Her focus on vases in her paintings is one of joy. The joy of drawing the shape. To her they represent our shared history. Inanimate objects that have been familiar to us since ancient times, and which remain familiar and cherished objects.
Maryse hopes to continue to experiment and play with line and colour to create her paintings, drawings, or prints, and she continues to have an interest in using her photos to produce digital art .
